An entrepreneur with a dedication to innovation, Jaime co-founded Hydra-Flex in 2002, and is our President/CEO. Jaime grew up in a small town in the mountains of Montana then ventured out to the Colorado School of Mines where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has over 19 years of product development experience covering a variety of industries, and prior to Hydra-Flex Jaime worked for Koch Industries, Eaton Hydraulics, Tamarack Habilitation Technologies, GP Companies, and 3M. He is passionate about the Carly May Foundation, an organization he and his wife founded that helps children with disabilities. Jaime enjoys all sports, especially coaching wrestling. In his free time he likes any activity with his bride and 3 children.
Jonathan joined Hydra-Flex in December 2016 as Director of Sales, and brings with him extensive experience from related cleaning solutions companies. He worked 14 years for Ecolab in their Global Food & Beverage division, and 3 years for Nilfisk in their US Floor Care Equipment Business. He held roles at these companies in marketing and sales leadership, worked and lived internationally, and traveled on business to five continents. Jonathan earned his BA from DePauw University and his MBA from the University of Minnesota. He is thrilled to join the customer driven culture at Hydra-Flex and is excited to continue business growth and market expansion. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys downhill skiing, disc golfing, beer brewing, and spending time outside with his wife and three kids.
Gary, our other co-founder, has held just about every position at Hydra-Flex since its inception in 2002. For the first 7 years, Gary was fulfilling the roles of Vice President of Product Development and Engineering Manager, before adding Operations oversight as part of his daily functions. In 2009, he moved out into the field for market research as our Eastern Regional Sales Manager. Gary has over 20 years experience in the car wash Industry, going back to his start with GP Companies in 1994, where he spent three years in manufacturing before transitioning to the engineering group where he spent six years in product development. Gary enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as golfing, hunting or spending time working on his ranch in the mountains of Colorado.
Tyler started in the car wash industry in 1994, working in sales for various Chicagoland based distributors, and has experience selling car wash chemistry, IBA, self service equipment, MacNeil Wash System tunnels, and Turtle Wax. In January 2000, he was hired on at MacNeil as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager. During that time Tyler focused on product growth through integrity in customer sales and solid distributor relations. He was responsible for overseeing and being part of hundreds of tunnel sales and installations, and will always be proud of the legacy he helped build and the friendships he made during his ten years of employment at MacNeil. In 2008 Tyler sold the first Aqua-Lab system and many others after. Intrigued by what he was seeing happen in the industry and listening to his gut, he accepted a position at Hydra-Flex in February 2010, with a focus to help build sales and market awareness of what at the time was a small and little known company. Tyler is proud to say that he is part of a team of dedicated people who have changed the philosophies on how the industry washes cars.
JT joined Hydra-Flex in April 2017 as a member of the Industrial Sales division and brings with him over 15 years of international and domestic sales experience. While attening Saint Leo University, JT served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Specialist and one of the Naval Air Station Masters-atArms Trainers and key instructors on Anti-Terrorist Threats and Base Apprehension Techniques. After his Naval career, JT worked in the civial sector for FATS, Inc. and Virta Systems where he traveled to over 40 countries growing the companies' international sales market. JT is grateful for the opportunity to become part of the Hydra-Flex team and is looking forward to this exciting opportunity. When he isn't working, JT enjoys spending time with his two boys on the baseball field, in batting cages, coaching their competitive travel team, flying drones, and traveling to Charlotte, NC to watch the Carolina Panthers with family.
Chris joined Hydra-Flex in June of 2016 as Inside Sales and Vehicle Care Technical Product Support. Chris spent the first 10 years of his professional career in the automotive industry as a technician and service advisor. During that time he returned to college and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Rasmussen College. Working during the day and attending college at night was a very difficult task, but worth the effort. Three months after graduation he was hired on at a manufacturing company where he spent 7 years as their National Service Manager and eventually National Sales & Service Manager of pest control products. He is extremely excited to begin a new career at Hydra-Flex and utilize his past experience to help grow the company. When Chris is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, coaching baseball, fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
Karissa Joined Hydra-Flex in 2015. She has a little over 7 years of experience in the Customer Service area between production, manufacturing, freight and sales. She is currently attending college obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration of International Business. Her role at Hydra-Flex is to engage with customers and build a steady relationship with them and provide the ultimate Customer Service available to customers in this industry. If Karissa isn’t four wheeling, shooting, or fishing she usually is spending time with her 2 year old son swimming and adventuring to all the different parks here in Minnesota.
Jessica joined Hydra-Flex in January of 2013, bringing over 10 years of marketing experience from a broad range of industries, from hospitality, music, and entertainment to industrial HVAC and pest control. A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with minors in Business Administration and International Business. In her role at Hydra-Flex of “reaching the masses”, she enjoys creating campaigns where she can take a technical concept and present it in a fun and compelling way. A highly competitive person, Jessica plays on volleyball, kickball, and several fantasy football leagues. Don’t be surprised if you see Jessica at an industry event lighting up the karaoke stage.
Brandon is our Graphic Designer. A talented young designer who graduated from North Hennepin Community College in 2012 with a degree in Graphic Design, and also an Associate degree in Applied Science. Brandon hopes to bring a fresh new feel to the Hydra-Flex team. Brandon has a major passion for the arts and enjoys creating sculptures, be it with his chainsaw and a log, or his welder and some scrap metal. His favorite season is winter where he enjoys taking snowmobile trips out west to the mountains. If it’s summertime and you can’t find Brandon, go look out on the lake or down by the river because you will find him out fishing.
Erin joined Hydra-Flex in January 2016, bringing experience from nonprofit and hospitality industries. Erin is a graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business. Erin’s focus is to utilize creative communication techniques to enhance marketing campaigns and customer relationships. When not at HFI, Erin enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.
Justin joined Hydra-Flex in October 2009 as the Operations Manager. Since then he has transitioned into Product Line Manager, supporting our product development processes and existing product lines, and now to Director of Business Development. Justin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, and has a degree in Managing Information Systems with a minor in Accounting. He spent the previous 8 years as a Vice President of Operations and an IT Director. Justin enjoys spending time with his two daughters when not golfing or playing fantasy football. His diverse education and background has been an asset in having a variety of roles at Hydra-Flex.
Brady recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Communication Technology. Brady joined the Hydra-Flex team in August 2017 and is excited to be a part of the growing IT team at HFI. Brady hopes to bring new insight into IT processes and increase productivity by introducing more technology at HFI. In his spare time, he likes to go hiking, exploring the art of photography, and spending time with his girlfriend and dog. He also enjoys playing sports, such as baseball and basketball, and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams.
Bryan joined Hydra-Flex in December of 2013 as a Product Design Engineer with a background in product design including experience is in the fluid power and medical device fields. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. His passion for innovation and problem solving will empower him to find creative solutions for our customer’s needs.
Caleb joined Hydra-Flex in October 2016 as a Product Design Engineer. After receiving his bachelor's degree at Minnesota State - Mankato, Caleb worked in product design, mainly in the fluid handling and medical device fields. He enjoys tackling design problems and designing new innovative solutions for the end customer. Outside of work, Caleb enjoys playing flag football, lifting weights, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams.
Daniel is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Stout, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design. Dan joined the Hydra Flex team in June of 2015 and is eager and motivated to work collaboratively with the Hydra-Flex team to create and execute design solutions that will improve the form and functionality of HFI products. In his spare time Dan likes to share his sense of humor with family and friends, and stays active playing softball, lacrosse, and racquetball.
Dan joined Hydra-Flex's engineering team in February 2017. Prior to Hydra-Flex, Dan held the role of Lead Lab Technichian at Alliance Laundry Systems in their commercial dryer division. Dan also brings with him 7 years of experience in building and programming stations for equipment testing to qualify new product designs. His goal at Hydra-Flex is to help the engineering team make the our engineering lab a world-class testing facility. When not at work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, camping, being outdoors, and playing a variety of sports.
Ryan joined Hydra-Flex in April 2017 as a Product Development Technician. Ryan served in the United States Air Force for 6 years in the munitions career field, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the military, Ryan attended the University of Minnesota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. At work, Ryan likes problem solving and continually improving testing processes and equipment. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys snowmobiling, working on race cars, barbequing with friends, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.
Jeff joined Hydra-Flex in October 2017 as a Product Engineer. Jeff received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University Minnesota Duluth. At a previous employer, he worked on continuous improvement projects on various lines of power equipment such as air compressors, log splitters, semi-trash pumps, and generators. At work Jeff likes to design and improve products so customers have the best product to fit their needs. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys working on home improvement projects, grilling, hanging out with friends, and keeping up with football and hockey.
John joined the Hydra-Flex team in March of 2014 as the Director of Operations, bringing with him over 20 years of equipment manufacturing experience from various industries including: fluid handling, electrical enclosures, humidification, and the defense industry. John is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. On the job, he enjoys problem solving and finding better ways to do things - “products and processes can always be improved”. At home, John likes to spend time with his family, including three daughters that are active in soccer and gymnastics. He coaches soccer, is an active leader at church, and looks forward to boating season every year.
Roger joined Hydra-Flex in March 2016 as a Senior Quality Engineer. Roger has over 20 year(s) Manufacturing environment experience, including a strong background in Design, Quality Systems, and Operations. Roger is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Go Gophers!). At work, Roger likes to take an analytical approach to problem solving, while also believing that all processes can be improved. Outside of work, Roger enjoys spending time with family and staying physically active.
Joe joined Hydra-Flex in September 2017 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Joe has a background in Process Improvement, Automation, and Operations. At work, he is looking for ways to improve current processes and use data to solve problems. At home, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and can usually be found in the garage working on a project.
Jessy joined the Operations Team at Hydra-Flex in August 2016. She brings with her two decades of material and inventory management experience to her role as Buyer/Planner, and she contributes to Hydra-Flex's ability to provide on time delivery of quality products. She has an extensive background in custom fabrication and manufacturing and believes strongly in delivering consistent customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships with quality suppliers. Fall and spring are Jessy’s favorite seasons here in her native state of Minnesota, and you will often find her enjoying free time with her husband at their cabin in the northern woodlands.
Travis is an operations professional that believes determination, communication, teamwork and accountability are the cornerstones of a successful business. He is known as a strong leader that strives to bring the best out of people, by creating a work environment where everyone is treated equally and is given every tool they need to succeed. Travis has been in operations for ten years and has a proven track record of success. Looking to improve on everything he does, Travis seeks knowledge everywhere he can and applies what he has learned, while being a mentor for others to follow.
Carrie joined Hydra-Flex in January 2017 as Hydra-Flex's HR Representative. Her focus is to create programs and processes to make Hydra-Flex "A Great Place to Work." Carrie previously worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Senior Actuarial Analyst and has volunteered much of her time as the President of the Eagan Athletic Association Basketball Board. She graduated from La Salle University with a Mathematics degree while playing on the Divison I women's basketball team for the Explorers. Carrie enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four kids, coaching basketball, volleyball, and softball for the EAA, as well as exercising, reading, and beating her friends and neighbors in cards and dominoes.
Debbie joined Hydra-Flex in July 2017 as Controller, bringing almost 20 years of accounting experience from various industries including public accounting, financial trading, and manufacturing. Debbie grew up in Minnesota, but left briefly to earn a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. Outside of work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs as well as running, biking, and skiing.
Andrew joined Hydra-Flex in October of 2017. Andrew brings five years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience from previously working with large multinational corporations. Introducing best practices and methods from these large corporations, Andrew plans to improve AP/AR efficiently and transparency for accounting reports. Outside of work Andrew enjoys disc golf, fishing, and spending time with his wife and friends.
