Star Tribune Names Hydra-Flex on 2021 ‘Top Workplace’ List

Prestigious honor determined by employee satisfaction survey

SAVAGE, Minn. – Hydra-Flex, Inc. prides itself on its engaging, employee-first culture. Those efforts were rewarded last week, when Hydra-Flex was named one of the Star Tribune’s 2021 Top Workplaces in Minnesota.

All employers with 50 or more employees are eligible for the Top Workplace honor, which measures how businesses treat their employees and customers, and engage with their communities. Nearly 3,000 Minnesota businesses were invited to participate, and only 297 received Top Workplace honors.

“Being named a Top Workplace is a great privilege,” said Hydra-Flex Chief Operating Officer Justin Jovle. “Our employees are the key to our success, so we’ve made it a priority to create a work-hard, play-hard culture that supports and benefits each and every member of our team.”

Top Workplaces are determined by employee surveys that assess their employer’s performance in seven key areas: alignment, effectiveness, connection, manager, employee engagement, leader and the basics (which includes pay, benefits and flexibility). These factors measure engagement, organizational health, satisfaction, and how well employees work together toward a common cause.

“It’s an honor any time we receive this type of recognition, but this one is extra-special since it’s a result of our employees’ satisfaction,” Jovle said. “We’re truly a family at Hydra-Flex, and it’s a privilege to work alongside each member of our team.”

This is just the latest such honor for Hydra-Flex, which was also recently named a Dakota-Scott County Employer of Excellence and one of the fastest growing companies in the Midwest region by Inc. 5000.
